As a mum getting into swimwear can be a very daunting task. No matter how much weight you’ve lost since Bub you never quite feel bikini ready!
Recently I crash tested two of my favourite brands Baku & Sunseeker. Here’s how they went through my cash test with my little man Liam.
Baku just screams luxe! As soon as you put on your swimwear you can tell the designers have gone out of their way to make the swimwear as comfortable and as wearable as possible. From the fabric to the movability of the bikini they have got it right!
When it comes sizes they have got it spot on as well. I am a size ten with quite small breasts and it’s so hard to find swimwear that caters for smaller breasted women. Baku have beautiful designs built for all body shapes which it so great to see in a brand as not a lot do.
When playing with Liam wearing the swimwear I never felt like I had to readjust myself at any point. The bikini went from wet to dry very quickly, this I love! My Baku bikini is my go to bikini for comfort and for the days I’m feeling a little more confident.
Here’s a little about the brand
Baku was founded on the beaches of Sydney, through its’ original brand Bubbles Beach Co, by Susan & John Bykerk in 1969.
1995 saw the introduction of the BAKU label and in 1999 the Company changed hands to the next generation.
Brother & Sister, Dax & Tamara Bykerk, remain at the helm today – designing and directing the company, with BAKU being one of Australia’s most successful swimwear brands.
This family owned Australian company is proud to manufacture all of its beautiful swimwear in Australia. They scour the globe for design inspiration, and for the finest base cloths found predominantly in Italy, France & Spain, and enjoy the artistic nature of their exclusive artworks and design. Fit, function and fashion are always at the forefront of BAKU along with an absolute desire to make women feel amazing.
Today Baku is stocked in approximately 450 stores around the world in addition to fourteen stand-alone BAKU boutiques.
My sun seeker one piece is utterly beautiful in every way! It is just so comfortable. I’ve never been a one piece wearer before but my mum tummy has converted me! Running after Liam was a dream in a one piece, I felt like no one could see my not so toned areas shaking away!I love this swimsuit for the days I’m not feeling too confident about my body. We all have those days, don’t we!
SunSeeker has such a cool summer vibe with everything you could ask for from bikinis to a full beach getaway outfit. You seriously couldn’t ask for more from a swimwear brand.
