Macarthur Square Safari Adventure
On Monday Liam and I were one of the first to experience Macarthur Square’s new attraction, The Safari Adventure. It was such a great experience for Liam and the three other gorgeous children that come along.
My self and two other mommy bloggers (@singlemothersurvivalguide & @mummybloggersydney) joined in on the fun too. The Safari Tours (Saturdays & Sundays) are such a great idea. It’s very interactive and a great learning experience for your little one and for us big people too! I learnt a lot of things I didn’t know about all the different animals on the tour. If you would like to join the tours you have to register at the information desk.
When on tour your safari guide will take you on an adventure to each African animal attraction and educate you on all the wonderful things about each animal. She even included if the animal was endangered and explained what that meant to the children. I think this is great to make the kids aware that the animals they love today, may not be here in the future and to not just ignore what is happening in other countries.
Walking around Macarthur Square on tour with your child is a great time to window shop don’t get tempted mid tour though! The new renovations are also a great attraction in their own right. The renovations open up the centre and make it very warm and welcoming.
There is not just the safari tour to see all of the animals there are plenty of activities to keep the little ones entertained all week long. Activities are running from the 7th August – 3rd September is craft zone, campsite storytelling, face painting & of course the Safari Tours. But I am leaving out the best bit you can go into the draw to WIN a Safari adventure of your very own. All you have to do is spend $20 or more at Macarthur Square and you’re in the draw!
Enjoy roaming around Macarthur Square visiting all of the life sized African animals, learning & interacting with each other along the way.
P.s There is great coffee at the little café across from the Campsite Storytelling!
